Since 2017 we have been working to improve the area around and under the Bowker Overpass.

We work diligently with the Emerald Necklace Conservancy, the Esplanade Association, and the brilliant Landing Studio Architects to lead planning efforts that will shape tomorrow’s Charlesgate Park. 

We employ Project Place to clean the park twice a week. Seasonally we provide the red Charlesgate Chairs. We planted 15 new trees in 2022 and planted 14 more in 2025. Since 2022 we have supported the lighting of the trees around the Bowker on Comm. Ave. for the Holiday season. We also plan to develop and maintain a Charlesgate Dog Park after MassDOT finishes their work over the Massachusetts Turnpike.
